Vacation or London?

One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is explore my hometown London. In such a big city, there's always so much to do and discover. Especially in the summer, the rooftop bars open and the street festivals begin, you will definitely find me stuffing my face with food.

Being a blogger, I'm always on the hunt for new streets, cafes and fun locations to shoot. It's an opportunity to discover a new trendy place. Cute story, on my shoot with Mark, we went inside a little pub on Portobello Road Market (wish i noted down the name) because I had to change my outfit, thought nothing of it looked like a normal pub, red leather seats, a bar and a bit dark. After changing, I went back to meet Mark and found him at what didn't look like the pub anymore. At the back of the pub was indoor garden restaurant, that made you feel like you were Spain or Italy. Our natural instinct of course was to take pictures, luckily my outfit fitted the setting.

After seeing the secret garden inside the pub, we were inspired to find more fascinating locations within the area. That's when we stumbled upon the colourful mews and the old vintage shop, immediately felt like i was on holiday and not in London until I heard the sound of cars beeping again and the memorable phrase 'Please stand behind the yellow line'.

So if you're around Portobello road area, be sure to wander around and get lost because there are some cute independent coffee shops to eat in and fashionable vintage shops to get lost in.

Top 10 Sale Hacks

Let's face it, how is it possible to walk away from the big, bold, red sign with the white capitalised word that says "SALE" on it.  From the moment I wake up and my inbox is crying for me look at it full of those delicious emails, how can I not take a bite? ..... However, we don't all want to lose our  money all at once do we? I pride myself with being a bargain hunter, therefore I'm going to give you an inside on some tips on how to approach a sale.

Numero Uno: STAY CALM - No literally, we tend to pick up everything we see and rush, sometimes we don't end up seeing everything, and will miss out on a good sale. Take your time. do not rush.

Numero Dos: Don't buy everything on the first day of sales, the price will always reduce, wait three/ five days into the sales.

Numero Tres: Look both online and in-store for the same shop, for example, zara their sale online will sometimes have items that are either sold out in store or are online exclusives.

Numero Cuatro: Go first thing in the morning! Everything is fresh, tidy, you can take your time before everything gets messy.

Numero Cinco: Do not 'panic buy' because everything is on promotion. Ask yourself these questions, do you really need it? Are you going to get much wear out of it? When are you going to wear it?

Numero Seis: Sometimes it's nice to go shopping with a friend, it helps having someone to remind you of that one item you came into the store for.

Numero Siete: To save you over spending, think about what you need and what you are looking to buy before going in to a shop.

Numero Ocho: Don't feel disappointed if you left with nothing, because it's better to buy something you ADORE rather than an item that was cheap.

Numero Nueve: Wear a backpack or a small cross body bag with the necessities only, phone, lip balm and purse! It's important to be hands-free when sale shopping, you don't want to be carrying heavy shoulder bags with you, they will only just weigh you down!

And Finally ........

Numero Dies: Take it easy and have fun!

What's your sale hacks?

Rips & Lace

Hiya!

How has your week been?

I finally have a day off, YES! So I decided to write a post for you lovelies. As I mentioned to you last week I've been working on some projects. Around a month ago, during easter I collaborated with Mark Castillo, whose a very talented, amazing photographer so much fun to work with! I can't wait to show you all the outfits we shot together in the upcoming posts. Here is one of the shoots!

OMG! When I found out that Topshop Oxford Circus, have their own monogramming section I was head over heels. I love personalised things, whether it's a notebook, jacket or even a pen, I am a sucker for it! I feel that is a nice touch to have something that is unique and yours.

'AS IF' get it? ;) Clueless if one of my favourite all time chic flicks, so why not monogram Cher's quote on your ass!! Also can we talk about how cool these jeans are!? Ripped hem's have been taking over, they are statement, edgy and whether you are a girly girl, rock chick or even just like the simple things, these jeans will suit all of you! So If you're around Topshop at Oxford Circus, grab yourself a pair of these jeans and personalise them ;)

Zara always have nice staples that look so luxurious and are great quality. This top for £17.99 is one of them! When I looked at the price I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought it would cost a lot more. Hunnies, when a top is that nice and is that price, you don't think twice you just GRAB IT AND BUY! It's so pretty and elegant. I've worn it so many times this last month. Normally I'm a bit funny about all lace tops because they can give you really bad B.O ( Bad odour) But trust me this top doesn't do that, it also comes in white and black.

Next week I'm travelling to Amsterdam, this is my second time going. On the first time I found it  very hard to find cute places to eat. If you have any recommendations comment below!!

Pearly Whites

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all been well since my last post on the blog. Been working on some new projects that I am excited to be sharing with you soon!

As you all know I practically live in denim, from mom jeans to super skinny. But recently Mom jeans definitely have my heart, they are super flattering and make your ass look so peachy hehe (will highly recommend Topshop they are the best).

Let's be honest, we all go shopping, see a piece of clothing pick it up look the at price, and think jheeszz that's abit overpriced for this (my life story) Naturally we love a bargain, so I waited patiently for the mid season sales. Had my eye on these jeans for ages, they are so unique, girly and make your outfit effortlessly statement. Decided to wear them with trainers, a simple tee and a neck scarf to give it that extra little edge and that nearly summer feeling. However, it will look totally cute with a bardot crop top and heeled sandals for the summer.

I predict the neck scarf will be the 'It' accesory of this spring/summer season. It's a very lovely touch to any outfit, you can wrap it round your hair and feel like you are in 1950's Capri, or rock it like an American 90's kid and wrap it round your neck. Up to you, what do you think?

The Lee Jean

Buenas tardes, Good afternoon!

I hope you all had a fun - filled or chilled weekend, unfortunately I've been under the weather recently. Which totally sucks, but still trying to be super proactive! (In other words, chilling at home watching Moana and Underworld)

Last year I done a collaboration with Lee, when they launched their #MoveyourLee campaign. I've always been a fan of their brand and denim. However, their new collection entails a much more flexible and softer fabric to their jeans, making you feel more comfortable when wearing your jeans, at the same time flattering your figure.

As a girl that practically lives in jeans, I understand It can sometimes be very irritating when you can't find the right pair of jeans that compliments your body figure. On the other hand, I personally find that high waisted jeans always flaunts a woman's curves and body structure beautifully, It's a good cut for all shapes and sizes.

I paired it up with their flight bomber jacket, creating a more 'urban' look. The bomber is still going strong in the fashion scene, and having a thick one that you can wear in autumn, winter then transitioning to spring is highly essential. I mean guys you want a jacket that is versatile and that adapts to most seasons! This Lee one definitely does the job if you are looking into getting a cool, edgy bomber, it's also now on sale linked it below.

Tip - When buying jackets or coats, keep an eye out for the styles that are popping up every season and buy one that would last you all year round and the years to come, that way you are saving yourself money, for example, the biker jacket you can never go wrong!

I'm curious what everyone's favourite style/cut of jeans and why? Please comment below would love to know!

Long Time, No See!

Oh Hey There Strangeeerrr!!

I can't believe how quickly 2016 went, and now I feel like 2017 is going super duper fast too, it's insane. I know I promised I would be up to date with my blog in the new year and yet again I failed to do so... What can I say I'm only human!!

However, every week I was saying to myself I'm going to do the post going to get round to it and I never did, I feel like It had to do with not really feeling confident within myself to do one. Especially In my writing, which is something I tend to struggle with a lot.

But recently, I got given a book 'Chicken Soup for the Soul', haven't stopped banging on about it to friends and at work! but it has completely allowed me to see things into perspective, turning my negative attitude to a more positive one, not spiritually, but more in touch with my happiness.

Today I was reading one of the short stories, it immediately triggered that enthusiasm and energy that I needed, to be happy with myself and my blog. I'm going to share it with you, hoping that it will give you a happy Sunday and  it will inspire you as well to the find the love and happiness within yourself.  We live in world where we constantly feel like we need validation of social media or people; whether its close or not. And sometimes we easily get distracted and caught up in it that we lose sight of who we are. We might want to be a certain person, that we follow on IG or someone we know (Been guilty of that myself) But let's not compare ourselves to others, find the little things you love about yourself, appreciate them and love yourself for who you are. Remember who you are is beautiful.

(Yaaasssss sometimes we gotta preach it)

My Declaration Of Self-Esteem

"What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly" - Carl Rogers

The following was written in answer to a 15-year-old girl's question, "How can I prepare myself for a fulfilling life?"
I am me.
In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me. There are people who have some parts like me but no one adds up exactly like me. Therefore, everything that comes out of me is authentically mine because I alone choose it.
I own everything about me- my body, including everything it does; my mind, including all my thoughts and ideas; my eyes, including the images of all they behold; my feelings, whatever they might be - anger, joy, frustration, love, disappointment, excitement; my mouth and all the words that come out of it - polite, sweet and rough, correct or incorrect; my voice loud and soft; all my actions, whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears. I own all my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me. By so doing, I can love me and be friendly with me in all my parts. I can then make it possible for all of me to work in my best interests.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, and other aspects that I do not know. But as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, i can couragoeusly and hopefully look for the solutions to the puzzles and for ways to find out more about me.
However I look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is me. This is authentic and represents where I am at the moment.
When I review later how I looked and sounded, what I said and did, and how I thought and felt, some parts may turn out to be unfitting. I can discard that which is unfitting and keep that which proved fitting, and invent something new for that which I discarded.
I can see, hear, feel, think, say and do. I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me.
I own me and therefore I can engineer me.
I am me and I am okay.
